Canberra Trip



Introduction

Welcome to the spot of the 2014 Southern Hills Christian College and Carnarvon Christian School Canberra Trip! The purpose of this trip is for Year 7's to experience and learn about our capital Canberra and the Federal Government, Australian history and its achievements as a nation. The majority of the trip will be in and around Canberra, however we will be spending one day in the Snowy Mountains experiencing the snow.

Some of the sights that we plan to visit are:

National Museum                   Parliament House - Old and New              Royal Australian Mint
CSIRO Discovery Centre         Canberra Zoo & Aquarium                         Canberra Deep Space
Questacon                             Australian Institute of Sport                     Government House
War Memorial                        Perisher Blue Snow Fields

Remember the Blogspot will be updated every evening where possible. Please follow us each day on our blog as we explore the capital.     I hope you've all enjoyed your first day touring and I hope you've all learnt a little something. I'm just about to put the heater on, it's a chilly 17 degrees here :-) I bet you're all a bit tired and I hope you all get a great nights sleep, ready for another adventure tomorrow.

    Hi Everyone again, hope you are enjoying your day, Maddie Hayden and Tabitha miss you, Hayden keeps sitting in your chair and Tabitha hasn't left your room.

    Hi Maddison, Its Sunday today, Jake just finished tennis, he's going to get a trophy on Wednesday night ,Dad and I are off to the Keith Urban concert tonight with Bindy, Amanda and Andy.     Hi Maddie, Its Monday today, all is well Dad and I had a great time at the concert. You guys must be excited about visiting the snow tomorrow, I am looking forward to seeing all your photos Renata Nadia sends a message that she has cleaned her room, I gave her and Shevaune a big hug as I left this morning.
